The Deerstalker is synonymous with Sherlock Holmes, the literary hero of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective series, and was originally designed, as the name suggests, for those who stalked deer on the moors. This handsome and distinctive cap with ear flaps features a low, stiff brim that faces downward and a rear visor. Our cap is fully lined with satin and made traditionally from checked pure British wool tweed. It is finished with ear flaps and a smart grosgrain ribbon with a bow.
Steam from a household kettle and a hard bristle hat brush will help banish any dust and dirt from tweed or cashmere. Brush the hat using short strokes.
Dry a tweed or cashmere cap or hat by shaking off the water and leave at room temperature.
